Advent 2025

Advent 2025: Courage for the Coming of Christ

Advent is, at its heart, a season of holy waiting and daring hope. “Courage” reframes waiting not as passivity, but as active faith, trusting and acting toward God’s promised future even amid uncertainty.

Courage to Hope. Courage to Act. Courage to Welcome Christ.

Advent Retreat - Listening to your heart

Friday, December 5, 2025, 2:00 - 4:00pm
St. Aidan’s Chapel, 2425 Colorado Ave

The chapel will also be open for silence and personal prayer from 12:00–1:45pm and 4:00–5:00pm.

Advent invites us to slow our pace and open our hearts to God’s quiet voice. This year’s Advent theme of courage reminds us that courage is often born in stillness. we must take time to listen deeply and respond in faith.

Join us for an afternoon retreat, Listening to Your Heart, a contemplative space for prayer, silence, and reflection on Scripture. We’ll explore what it means to listen for God’s call in the stories of Advent, voices like Mary’s song of trust and Joseph’s dream of courage.

The retreat will include two guided reflections, times of silence, and opportunities for journaling or quiet prayer. Come as you are and spend time resting in God’s presence.

The chapel will remain open before and after the retreat for personal prayer and contemplation. All are welcome.

Ask M. Amanda for more information and questions.
