Connie Branton, Choirmaster
Constance (Connie) Branton has been Choirmaster at St. Aidan's since the summer of 2008. Prior to that, Connie has served as choir director or organist\at churches in New Jersey, Kentucky, and California before spending most of her church life in Idaho, her last position as choir director at Whitney United Methodist Church. In addition to her work in churches, Constance completed 27 years of teaching in the Boise Public Schools. While there her choirs were chosen to sing for several conventions of choral directors. Connie is now retired from teaching and serving St. Aidan's on a part-time basis. She is full-time grandmother to Simon Karl Harrison. She also loves again being near her two daughters, Anna and Sarah, and son-in-law Keith, all of whom live in the Denver area. Connie's philosophy of church music is to involve as many people as possible in the music of the church, to provide quality music of many different genres to enhance the worship services, and to help develop the individual talents of members of the choirs and congregation. Music is integral to worship of the Almighty. As Martin Luther said, "He who sings, prays twice."
